Absolut Security received a report from one of our clients regarding suspicious activity in the Ruimsig area. Our armed response team was immediately dispatched to investigate. Upon arrival, officers found suspects actively involved in the theft of electrical cables. Although the suspects had already removed the cables, our team successfully recovered the stolen property. Several suspects were apprehended on-site, while others fled the scene. Two suspects, who had concealed themselves inside a manhole, was later discovered and apprehended.
A call for backup was sent via the CCIN group, and the following service providers responded promptly and professionally: – BCI Protection Services – Beagle Watch – EC Security – FADT – South African Police Service (SAPS) – Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) Thanks to the coordinated response and collaborative efforts of all involved parties, all suspects were successfully apprehended. SAPS has opened a criminal docket, and the matter is currently under investigation. Absolut Security extends its sincere thanks to all responding units for their swift action, professionalism, and dedication to community safety. 5 suspects apprehended.
